At Bespoke Stairlifts we trust in our people……..

Over the years we have invested heavily in our staff, particularly in our fabrication department.

Our fabrication team not only builds our rails to the standards your customers expect but they are also at the forefront of every development we introduce. We see it that those who work on our products day to day can offer the best insight into how we improve our products and that knowledge is passed on to our customers and in turn yours.

New Dealer Pack

I’m sure all of you who have worked with us here at Bespoke for several years will agree that we have made huge strides over the last 12 months. We have grown our business by demonstrating, on an ongoing basis, we are committed to growth through dealers and not at their expense.

Since last summer, we have accomplished:

  • bringing the manufacturing of our Infinity carriage back to the UK
  • moving to a modern streamlined end-to-end back office system
  • improving and updating key components, including a simplified programming and diagnostics system and importantly, improving the way we keep you informed and how we listen to our dealers.

During periods of development, there is a lot of change. We’ve updated the installation manual, sales literature, spares catalogues as well as bringing in fresh images and videos, and even new order forms. So it is important we again communicate effectively and offer you all access to the most up-to-date versions of all of our materials.

As such, we have given you access to an online Dealer Pack (found below). This pack contains all the above information and more.

To access the pack please click here.

We hope the information is of benefit and would ask you to cascade these documents through your organization to the relevant people. From time to time, we will update this resource and send details as to the changes and updates that have been made.

New transport arrangements to give you back control

In order to give you more control, all of our orders are now ex-works which means you take ownership of your own transport arrangements.

Rather than risk an unreliable and ineffective transport company, you will now arrange your own freight so that you can search, seek, chase and track your orders and know exactly where they are.

We want you to find the quickest, most efficient, and best way to get our products to your clients. When you have full and total control, you will always be able to track your products which means you can manage your time more effectively.

To make the process even easier, we’ll inform you when the time is nearing for you to arrange your transport in order for you to get everything in place.

Over the years, we have used many freight forwarding companies and unfortunately, we’ve experienced damaged goods and an unreliable service. Some of our existing dealers already have a trusted transport company they use so please continue with this arrangement if you are happy with it.

For our customers that may not have a transport arrangement in place, we recommend using Continent Transport in Holland, a specialist in stairlift transportation all over Europe who provide an excellent and reliable service every time. https://www.continent-bv.nl/nl/contact

If you have any queries about this new process, please get in touch with our team today, who will be happy to provide further information.

Bespoke Stairlifts prides itself on being adaptable in order to provide the best service for our dealers. We feel this change will help both our business and yours to offer a reliable and efficient stairlift service.

How to know if you need a stairlift (signs to look out for)

There may be a time when you notice your mobility isn’t the same and your daily routine becomes more difficult. Whether it’s age, you’ve had an accident, or been recently diagnosed with a specific condition, you could start to notice certain tasks are harder to do.

Climbing the stairs could be something that not only becomes difficult, it can also be painful and potentially cause you harm but you may not know when the time is right to purchase a stairlift. That’s why we’ve put together this guide to help you decide whether a stairlift will help you get your home freedom back.

Go see your doctor

With any mobility issues, it’s best to first see your doctor who may diagnose a medical condition or offer advice on mobility caused by ageing. You can discuss any concerns with moving around your home with your doctor and talk through whether you think a stairlift will help you.

Take a simple mobility test

The ‘TUG’ Timed Up and Go test is an easy way to determine mobility issues. Start seated in an armchair, stand up and walk three metres, turn around and walk back to the chair and sit down. Have a practice run first and then time how long it takes you to do the full test. If your results are over 14 seconds, the test indicates you are at risk of falling over and you have mobility issues. Between 11 and 14 seconds means you may have some mobility issues and could consider a stairlift to help you move around your home faster.

Are you about to have surgery?

You may have surgery coming up and during the recovery time, you know your mobility will be compromised. Rather than wait until this time, why not pre-empt these issues and have a stairlift installed? That way, when you’re recovering, you’ll still have freedom and independence in your home.

Notice the pains in your body

Do you regularly get pain in your knees and joints? Does the pain get worse when you walk up the stairs? If yes, it could be time to get a stairlift to help reduce this day-to-day pain. Stairs can put a particular strain on the knees and lower back but there are also other signs to look out for in the body. Perhaps your joints are ok but you have difficulty breathing when you move up and down the stairs. This is another indicator that you may need a stairlift but as with any pains in your body, consult your doctor first.

You’re moving to a new home

It could be that in your current home your stairs aren’t an issue or you may not have any at all but you are about to move into a new home with a staircase that could cause a problem. Consider getting a stairlift installed before you move in so that you can access all areas of your new home straight away.

Assess how much you need the help of others

Do you regularly rely on friends, family or a carer to help you around your home? Could some of this be reduced if you had a stairlift? A stairlift can help you get some of your independence back and give you freedom in your home, without having to rely on others.

Your friend or family needs a stairlift

Sometimes it can be hard to accept that we are unable to do certain things anymore and when you see a friend or family struggling with their mobility, it can be difficult to tell them that they might need a stairlift. It could also be that you are their helper, and a stairlift would not only assist them, it could also help relieve some of the care work you do. Or perhaps a friend or family isn’t financially able to get their own stairlift and you want to give someone the gift of their home freedom.

Stairlifts can help with movement around the home and ease the pain it may be causing you to climb the stairs each day. Our stairlifts are easy to operate and accommodate any mobility issue. If you want to know more about which stairlift is right for you, read our blog here or get in touch with our helpful sales team who will answer any questions you may have.

We have over 10 years of experience in the stairlift industry and we’re passionate about helping you get your home freedom back. Get in touch today and make any mobility issues disappear from your stairway.

We’re flexible so you can offer your customers more

The 44mm twin rail system we use is an industry standard and is also used in more countries and on more stairlifts than any other configuration for nearly 40 years.

Because of this, we made sure our Infinity Stairlift fits this standard, giving you the flexibility to repair, replace and renew your customers’ stairlift without having to buy expensive component parts.

The Infinity Stairlift offers a smoother ride, less noise and comes with 2 years parts warranty. That means that when you’re customers have issues with their lifts, rather than dealing with software upgrades or hardware changes you can simply give them a new carriage.

What’s more, this carriage is a simplified, cost-effective and reliable lift that’s designed to be installed in under three hours and is easily serviced by our engineers.

By using a rail system that’s identical to other stairlift providers, we can offer even more flexibility with our products. This also means that you can offer your customers a better service and a more reliable product.

So if your customers are in need of a repair, talk to us first about our flexible options and give your customers more.

INTRODUCING: New system to track your order

In order to improve our communication with you, we are currently developing a new operating system that will update you through every stage of your order.

No matter where you are in the world, you’ll receive emails as your order moves through the company, so you know exactly what’s going on.

From the drawing completion to the shipping date, you’ll always know where your life-changing stairlift is, and when it will arrive in your home.

We should see the second module of this operating system completed by October, with the third and final installment completed shortly after. Not only will this system improve our internal communication, it will also help us focus even more on our customers, giving you more control.
